Frequently Asked Questions
1. What exactly does GoldenPath do?
GoldenPath provides non-medical Caregiver Connection and Care Management services that help families organize routines, coordinate communication, and maintain consistency in home care—without acting as a home care agency or employer.
2. Can I use long-term care insurance if I work with GoldenPath?
Possibly. Some long-term care insurance policies reimburse caregiver services, while others require care to be provided through a licensed home care agency. Coverage depends entirely on your individual policy. GoldenPath provides care coordination and oversight—not hands-on care—so GoldenPath’s fees are paid privately and are not covered by insurance. Caregivers are always paid directly by the family, and any insurance reimbursement is handled solely by the client.
3. Do you supervise caregivers?
We do not supervise caregivers as their employer. Caregivers are hired, paid, and directed by the client. GoldenPath communicates expectations, relays the weekly care plan, and provides routine oversight on the client’s behalf, but the caregiver always reports to the client—not to us.
4. Why not just use Care.com?
Care.com provides a list of names. GoldenPath provides structure, planning, communication support, and ongoing oversight, ensuring home care stays organized long after a caregiver is hired.
5. If you don’t supervise, how do you help manage care?
We coordinate communication, clarify tasks, update weekly routines, and guide issue resolution for the client, ensuring caregiving stays organized and predictable. We support the care environment without exercising employer-type authority.
6. Can GoldenPath give instructions to caregivers?
We relay the client’s preferences, expectations, schedule changes, and care routines. We never issue directives as an employer or agency; we simply communicate what the client wants in a clear, structured way.
7. Do you employ or pay caregivers?
No. Caregivers are formally employed by the client, while GoldenPath supports the process by helping with communication, routines, expectations, and day-to-day coordination so you’re never navigating things alone.
8. Are you a home care or home health agency?
No. GoldenPath is a non-medical coordination service. We do not provide hands-on care, medical services, or licensed home care agency functions.
9. What happens if my caregiver quits or doesn’t work out?
Because the caregiver is your employee, you decide how to proceed. GoldenPath can provide new caregiver candidate lists and interview support through our Caregiver Connection service, but we do not dispatch or replace caregivers ourselves.
10. Can you help me find a new caregiver?
Yes—through our Caregiver Connection service, we help you locate independent caregiver candidates and support the interview process. You always make the final hiring decision.
11. How do you help with caregiver communication?
We relay your expectations, schedule updates, weekly plans, and concerns on your behalf, ensuring clarity and reducing misunderstandings while keeping you in full control as the employer.
12. Do you offer medical services or medication management?
GoldenPath supports medication adherence by organizing schedules, setting reminders, and helping ensure medications are taken at the prescribed times. We do not provide medical care or administer medications, and all clinical decisions remain with the patient’s healthcare provider.
13. Do you work with all kinds of patients?
Yes. No matter the age or condition, we help build structured, predictable routines and communication strategies that support non-medical needs common in all patients.
14. Can you be physically present with the client?
GoldenPath’s services are based on planning, communication, and coordination. We do not provide in-home supervision or caregiving.
15. Do you coordinate with multiple family members?
Yes. We provide organized updates and communication structures so families stay aligned, even when they live in different areas.
16. How often do you speak with clients?
Management clients receive weekly check-ins, with additional communication depending on the selected management tier.
17. Do you replace caregivers if something goes wrong?
No. As a non-agency service, we cannot replace or dispatch caregivers. We can help you find new candidates and provide interview support.
18. Do you work with families who live out of state or travel often?
Yes. We coordinate communication, routines, and care plans so you remain informed and involved from anywhere—without implying in-person supervision.
19. Is there a long-term contract?
No. All plans are month-to-month. You may pause or cancel anytime.
20. How much does your service cost?
We offer a simple pricing structure with a small Caregiver Connection fee and monthly Care Management plans. All pricing is listed clearly on our Pricing page.
21. How do I get started?
Book a short consultation call. We’ll learn about your needs, explain how our services work, and determine the best care management plan for your family.
